Lacking. . .

Ryan and I pray together,  but the reason I started this Ash Wednesday was because we needed to pray together more, not just in times of need or when we remembered to.  When we have prayed in the past the prayers come out well (does that make sense?), we both pray, and we don't put a time limit on it.

During "Prayers and Cuddles" I knew that cuddling would take a hit, there is no way we could do that nightly. . .but surprisingly, prayers have taken a hit.  I've come to realize that when Ryan and I pray together routinely, our prayer time becomes a little sad! It turns to one person praying instead of both, and sometimes "short prayers" will happen-so we are still praying but we get to close our eyes and go to sleep much faster:).  So yeah, this is my post saying that we need to step it up.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered.  "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.  And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." Mark 11:22-25

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your  minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
