Be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. . .as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. -Colossians 3:15-16

The author in my devotional said when she was trying to write down blessings in her life she was "often looking for the big-ticket blessings, the career promotion or the new car, instead of noting something SIMPLE-like a sip of coffee at the start of a new day."

While we are transitioning from our church to a new one right now, I couldn't help but think about all of the blessings that our current church has brought us while I was worshiping on Sunday morning.  I was able to write down almost three pages full of things, events and examples of blessings while we were there.  Its crazy to look back and reflect on the simple things that end up meaning so much to us, or reflecting on the way God worked out something so perfectly-feeling like you were in the right place at the right time, when really it was just His timing.

Today I am thankful for. . .
-Brooklyn was up at 7 this morning instead of 5
-Our friends Matt and Bri gave birth to their second son Conor this morning (well Bri did!)
-Brooklyn took two naps today, for an hour each, and then slept in my arms a little too
-I was able to clean the house since the baby slept
-We got word that our house paperwork is going through and we may close by next week
-I scheduled some appointments today-I like to keep organized on our calendar:)
-Britney Spears (don't judge me) is touring this summer again
-I have time to read during the day
-I showered and did my hair today (no make-up though)

And most of all, I get to cuddle and pray with my husband tonight-because I am committed to doing that for the next. . .25 days I think???

God has so richly blessed my life in BIG and also SIMPLE ways.
