An Announcement for Next Week!

I think I’ve said this before, but writing about our Foster Care journey has really helped as a therapy tool for my own heart.  Along with that, documenting all of this will be great to look back on in a few years with our family when we reflect on the blessings that Foster Care has brought us and also the trials that we’ve had to persevere through.  One of my all-time favorite Bible verses is Romans 5:3-4 where it says “Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”  My character has been changing throughout this past year, and I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything.

Next week we will be celebrating our 1year anniversary of being Foster parents!  Our license has already gone through for our second year of certification, and soon enough we will have our adoptive license as well so we can make Baby G an official “Senters”.  (PS, we're dedicating G at church on Sunday, so excited!) Ryan and I will be sharing a post a day all of next week on some highlights and even the lows of our year.  It's a way for us to look back on our first year, and we’re letting you look too!  Just some short stories of how far we have come through this process, some funny stories, the stories that have shaped us as parents and the ones that have forever impacted our marriage.

Along with our year anniversary I would like to ask a favor!  I have 20 people that “officially” follow my blog and up to 200 average readers for each post.  I would love to have more people follow this page, which really means you would sign up with your email, and that’s it!  No obligations, honestly.  Years down the road I would love to speak about our Foster Care experiences or even some Momma life lessons, and with the support of people following my blog, I’ll eventually be able to reach a broader spectrum of readers over the Internet.

So on Monday the 12th, be on the lookout for our anniversary post and in the meantime, follow Simply Sara!  Ryan says that if I can get to 100 readers he will personally write about our infertility issue.  Because lets face it . . .a ton of people struggle with it, there are all different types of fertility problems and not many people are open about it!

See you all on Monday!
