Here's to 2013

As I look back on 2012, I'm amazed at where this past year has taken our family.

In January I had the worst experience as a mom, being a Foster mother to two boys, ages 2 and 5.  I struggled to get through each day and started to lose patience for my own husband and daughter.  I kicked two children out of my house and was about to lose hope in Foster Care and in myself as a Foster mother.

In February my husband went on a mission trip to India.  I was so excited for him to have these new experiences and was still so jealous that he was taking it in for the first time without his wife, weird feeling I know.  His heart changed and he returned as a different person.  I love my compassionate husband.

On March 10th I picked up baby G from the Children's hospital and God granted me the chance to see what a good Fostering experience was all about.   This little boy that we grew to love will now forever be a part of our family after his mom asked us to adopt him back in June.

The fall brought more good news of prayers being answered for both my dad and brother's jobs. And then on September 26th at two days old, Baby D was dropped off at our home.

Through worries, anxiety, excitement, surprises and the joy the we've experienced this year. . . I continue to see how God is faithful to our family.

My husband and I are kicking of 2013 by heading to India to serve with our church like he did last year.  I'm looking forward to our trip, to see how God's planning on working through us to serve and hopefully bless the people over there and I'm also excited to see what he plans to do through my heart as well.  We will also officially be a family of four this spring once all of our legal work goes through for Baby G, and if its in His plans. . . a family of 5 might not be too far off.

Here's to 2013 and seeing where God takes our family.  I know there will be ups and downs, but He remains faithful.
